Football Training Is Back, Plus Our First Saturday 3v3 Match Play in Sunderland

Our superstars are back! Football training starts again tonight after half term, and we can’t wait to see everyone back out on the pitch.

Saturday Match Play: 3v3 football for Reception and Year 1

This Saturday, 7 November, is our first ever Saturday Match Play. It’s 3v3 football for children in Reception and Year 1, from 11am to 12 noon in the Monkwearmouth Academy Sports Hall.

Three against three. No goalkeepers. No subs. So every child plays the whole hour.

Why 3v3 football?

Small games are the best way for little ones to learn football. Fewer players means more touches of the ball, more chances to dribble, pass and score, and nobody stood on the side waiting for a turn. They have fun, they build confidence and they get better every week.

We’re starting with this age group to see how it goes. We think it’s going to be really popular, so keep an eye on our news for more dates.

Where and when

Saturday 7 November, 11am to 12 noon, at Monkwearmouth Academy Sports Hall, Torver Crescent, Sunderland SR6 8LG.
