Multi Activity Holiday Camps
Everything You Need to Know
Welcome to our multi activity information page.
To ensure a smooth experience for you and your child, please read the following information carefully.
📍 Location & Finding Us
Address: Monkwearmouth Academy, Torver Crescent, Sunderland, SR6 8LG
Registration, Drop-off, and Pick-up:
- Enter through the main gates (walking or driving).
- Follow the road/pavement all the way round to the left into the car park.
- At the back of the car park (next to the school house and swimming pool), look for the green gate.
- Follow the path to the Reception entrance where staff will meet you.

⚠️ Please Note: Multiple Providers Monkwearmouth Academy is a busy site with a number of different holiday providers operating at the same time. Every provider has a different registration process. Please ensure you know exactly which camp you have booked with and follow their specific instructions.
We work hard to coordinate with other clubs so that start and finish times differ; however, at busy periods, the site can become congested. We kindly ask for your patience with our staff members as we work to get every child signed in and out safely.
⏰ Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times
Core Camp (09:30 – 14:30)
- Drop-off: From 09:15. Staff will be at the entrance until 09:40.
- Pick-up: 14:30
- We understand sometimes people run late, but please call or text us (contact information further down this page) to let us know. A member of staff will need to wait for/with your child at the reception.
🚶 Safe Queuing Procedure
- Where to wait: Please queue outside of the reception area along the fence that runs along the path.
- The Process: We work our way along the queue and send your child to you individually. Once you have your child, please clear the area quickly to help reduce congestion.
🎒 What Your Child Needs to Bring
- Packed Lunch & Snacks: * Nut Policy: Packed lunches do not need to be nut-free by default. However, if a child with a severe allergy is attending, we will contact you via email to inform you if a specific day must be nut-free.
- Drinks: Pack enough for the whole day; we are unable to provide refills.
- Appropriate Clothing: Wear clothes that can get messy (paint, glue, mud!).
- Layers & Coats: Bring a warm hoodie and a waterproof coat every day.
- Spare Shoes: Please bring a spare pair (e.g., wellies for outdoors, trainers for indoors).
📅 Typical Daily Timetable
- 09:15 – 10:00: Registration, settling-in, and welcome (Free Play)
- 10:00 – 12:15: Activity Session 1.
- 12:15 – 13:00: Lunch Break.
- 13:00 – 14:30: Activity Session 2.
- 14:30: Pick-up.
🎨 Activities at NE Sport
We offer a wide range of activities to keep everyone engaged! Please note that we do not do every activity every day. Our schedule is flexible to allow for child-led play, where the children can tell us what they are in the mood for or suggest their own ideas.
Examples of what we do:
- Sports: Football, Basketball, Cricket, and Rounders (Fun participation, not coached sessions).
- Active Games: Stuck in the Mud, Toy Story, Snake in the Grass, and Team Challenges.
- Creative Arts: Arts & Crafts sessions, Painting, and Glitter projects.
- Indoor Fun: Board Game leagues, Table Tennis, and Pool.
- Outdoor Exploration: Nature Trails, Scavenger Hunts, and local walks.
📱 Mobile Phone Policy
Phones are not permitted for use during camp. * They must stay switched off in bags.
- If seen out more than once, phones will be kept in the office until pick-up.
- NE Sport accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal devices.
💳 Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation Policy
If you no longer need your spot, cancel as early as possible using the “Change/Cancel Appointment” button in your confirmation email. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, you will be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of your booking will not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation of Camps
If staff are off sick, we may have to cancel camps at short notice. Every effort will be made to ensure camps run, but it is important that there is the correct ratio of qualified adults in place for safety.
Refund Policy
If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund. It’s your responsibility to cancel your space using the method detailed above. If we have to cancel camps (e.g., due to staff illness), all attendees affected will be issued a full refund. Our policy is essential due to budgeting and staffing considerations. We strive to keep our costs as low as possible, but this leaves us with a tight budget. We must enforce this policy strictly and thank you for your understanding.

School Holiday Periods:
- Generally available from 07:45 – 17:30 (varies by booking).
