👟 Footwear Policy: Indoor & Outdoor Facilities

We are fortunate to have access to both the Indoor Sports Hall and Outdoor Pitches at Monkwearmouth Academy. This means we can keep playing whatever the weather! 🌦️

Because the schedule is weather-dependent, please ensure your child is prepared for both surfaces:

  • Requirement: Please pack Indoor Trainers (flat rubber soles) AND suitable outdoor football boots/trainers

    •  Football boots (studs/blades) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Sports Hall.

  • Note: If a child arrives with only football boots/studs and the session moves indoors due to rain, they will not be allowed to play on the sports hall floor for safety reasons.

⏰ Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times

  • Drop-off: From 09:15. Staff will be at the gate until 09:40.
  • Pick-up: 14:30.
  • We understand sometimes people run late, but please call or text us (contact information further down this page) to let us know. A member of staff will need to wait for/with your child at the reception.
  • ⚠️ Please Note: Multiple Providers Monkwearmouth Academy is a busy site with a number of different holiday providers operating at the same time. Every provider has a different registration process. Please ensure you know exactly which camp you have booked with and follow their specific instructions.
  • We work hard to coordinate with other clubs so that start and finish times differ; however, at busy periods, the site can become congested. We kindly ask for your patience with our staff members as we work to get every child signed in and out safely.

🚶 Safe Queuing Procedure

  • Where to wait: Please queue outside of the reception area along the fence that runs along the path.
  • The Process: We sign out players individually. Once you have your child, please clear the area quickly to help reduce congestion.

🎒 What to Bring

  • Packed Lunch & Snacks: * Nut Policy: Packed lunches do not need to be nut-free by default. However, if a child with a severe allergy is attending, we will contact you via email to inform you if a specific day must be nut-free.
  •  Water Bottle: Pack enough for the whole day.
  • Clothing: Football kit/tracksuit. Please also bring a waterproof coat and a warm hoodie for when we move between buildings or go for fresh air. Please see the note at the top of this page regarding footwear. It is essential children come with the right shoes for football camp.

  • 10:00 -12:15: Morning Session
  • 12:15 – 13:00: Lunch Break (Maximum)
  • 13:00-14:30: Afternoon Session
  • 14:30: Pick-up.
