Our Monday football sessions for Reception and Year 1 children, where the journey begins for our youngest stars. A Pathway to Greatness
At North East Sport Youth FC, we’re proud to be one of the largest and most vibrant grassroots football clubs in the North East. Founded in 2009, we’ve grown from a small community initiative into a thriving hub for over 350 players across more than 30 teams. Our Reception and Year 1 Development Programme is the heartbeat of that growth, offering kids aged 4-6 a chance to kick a ball, make friends, and fall in love with football—all while building the skills they’ll need to shine.
Our Monday sessions are more than just a weekly kickabout. They’re the first step on a pathway into our competitive teams. From here, our budding players graduate into age-group squads, like our Under 6s and Under 7s, ready to take on leagues like the Russell Foster League. Whether your child dreams of scoring goals or just wants to enjoy the game, we’ve got a place for them. It’s all about opportunity—no matter their ability, every child gets a chance to grow.
New Teams on the Horizon for 2025/26
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce that new squads are set to launch for the 2025/26 season! As our club continues to expand, we’re committed to creating more teams to welcome the next generation of players. For our Reception and Year 1 stars, this means a clear route into organized football as they progress through the ranks. While the exact details are still being finalized (stay tuned for updates!), one thing’s for sure: the future is bright at North East Sport Youth FC.
