If you’re looking for football for kids in Sunderland, or you’ve got a child who’s never tried but keeps kicking things round the house, this is for you.
Football for kids in Sunderland, five nights a week
We run football sessions five nights a week at Monkwearmouth Academy, SR6 8LG. Boys and girls, from Reception right up through secondary school. Your first session is free. No commitment, no forms to fill in before you’ve even seen the place. Just come and try it.
Here’s how our football for kids in Sunderland works. Every session is grouped by school year, so your child is playing with kids their own age and at their own level. Reception and Year 1 are all about the basics and having fun. The older groups build on that, with proper coaching and the chance to move into one of our teams when they’re ready. We’ve got girls’ Wildcats sessions too, and goalkeeper training for anyone who’d rather be stopping goals than scoring them.
Everything is indoors over the winter, so no standing on a freezing touchline until spring. We’re closed the week of 26 October for half term, then back as normal.
Who we are
North East Sport has been running football for kids in Sunderland since 2008 and based at Monkwearmouth Academy since 2014. We’re a Community Interest Company, which means we’re not here to make a profit. We’re here to give kids in Sunderland somewhere good to be. Our coaches are DBS checked and FA qualified, the club is FA Accredited, and we’ve got a team of over 40 volunteers who turn up week after week because they care about it. Over 900 people come through our doors every week, and most of them started with a free taster just like this.
Prices for football for kids in Sunderland are kept as low as we can. Once your child has tried it and wants to keep coming, it’s £25 a month for team registration and £10 a month for Wildcats. That’s it, no hidden extras.
How to book your free session
