The rumours have been circulating on social media all week, but North East Sport (NESport) is now delighted to officially confirm the news.
After hours of intense negotiations, significant agent fees, and the promise of a contract heavily incentivized with unlimited mince pies… WE HAVE MADE THE CALL.
We are thrilled to announce the temporary signing of Mr. S. Claus on a short-term loan deal from The North Pole FC.
A “Big Name” for the Academy
The gaffer has been looking for an experienced head to lead the line as we approach the festive break, and you don’t get more experienced than this veteran of the winter game.
Mr. Claus will be joining up with the squad immediately to oversee our final training sessions of the year. He brings a wealth of magic, a jolly attitude, and a very specific set of scouting skills (checking who is on the Naughty or Nice list).
Official Debut Dates
Santa will be making his highly anticipated debut at our final ‘Little Ones’ sessions before Christmas. He will be pitch-side to inspect the training, offer encouragement, and spread some festive cheer to our youngest players.
Catch him on the following dates:
- 📅 Monday 15th December: 17:00 – 18:00
- 📅 Wednesday 17th December: 17:00 – 18:00
Contract Clauses & Conditions
In the interests of transparency, the club would like to clarify a few details regarding the transfer:
- Transport: The deal is subject to Rudolf and the team successfully navigating any potential snow on the A19.
- Scouting: Mr. Claus will be taking notes on behavior, teamwork, and effort. We are confident all our Little Ones will make the “Nice” squad this year!
- Dietary: Mince pies must be provided upon arrival.

These sessions are always a highlight of our calendar. It’s a fantastic way to wrap up a year of hard work and fun with the kids. We encourage all our ‘Little Ones’ parents to bring the players along for these special sessions—it’s going to be magical!
