North East Sport is thrilled to announce our very first 3v3 Football Tournament Camp in Sunderland, designed entirely around player empowerment, fun, and freedom! This May half term, give your young footballer the unique chance to step up, take control, and enjoy the beautiful game without any sideline pressure.
What Makes Our Sunderland 3v3 Camp Special? Player Power!
This isn’t your typical holiday camp. We’re creating a positive, high-energy environment focused on letting the kids lead:
Kids are the Boss: This is strictly a no spectator, no manager event. Why? We want young footballers to thrive! They’ll work together to decide team tactics, player positions, and on-pitch communication – developing crucial teamwork and leadership skills naturally through play. Pressure-Free Fun: Without managers or spectators, the focus shifts entirely to enjoyment, learning, and playing with confidence. It’s the perfect setting for kids to express themselves on the ball. Maximum Game Time: Our 3v3 format with no substitutions means every child gets extensive playing time, maximizing touches, involvement, and skill development opportunities.

What: U8s (Players for 2024/25 Season) 3v3 Football Tournament Camp When: Friday, 30th May (May Half Term Holidays) Time: Drop-off 9:15 AM – 9:30 AM | Pick-up 2:30 PM (Game Schedule: Tournament starts 10:00 AM | Lunch 12:00 PM | Restart 12:45 PM) Where: Monkwearmouth Academy Sports Hall, Sunderland (Drop off at Main School Reception) Cost: £15 per player
Exciting Tournament Format & Experience
Get ready for a day packed with football fun:
Form Your Team (or Join One!): Sign up individually (we’ll create teams) or register with two friends. No need to be from the same grassroots club! Champions League Theme: Teams get assigned legendary club names (think Liverpool, Barcelona!) and star player identities for extra excitement. Friendly Competition: While it’s fun, there’s still silverware up for grabs! We’ll have trophies for winners and medals for runners-up. Open to all abilities, including Academy players. (Scouts will also be present). Parent Updates: We’ll keep you in the loop with updates, results, and maybe even goalscorer shout-outs on our facebook page during the day!
