As we wrap up the year and look ahead to 2025, we take a moment to reflect on the fantastic journey we’ve had with North East Sport’s youth provision. This year marked the final youth club session for our 11+ group, and it has truly been a blast. From exciting activities to meaningful connections, the impact of these sessions has been felt far and wide, thanks to our incredible partners and funders.
A Year of Growth and Achievement
North East Sport has always been committed to providing young people with the opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive. Our youth clubs have played a vital role in offering a safe space for young people aged 11 and above, where they can come together, engage in activities, and build lifelong skills. This year, we saw our 11+ club come to a close, and it’s been a memorable journey from start to finish.
Through engaging sports, creative activities, and team-building events, we’ve witnessed firsthand how these sessions help foster confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills in our youth. It’s been heartwarming to see how many young people have embraced the chance to engage, learn, and make lasting friendships.
Collaborating for Success
This year’s success wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable support of our partners and funders. A huge thank you goes to Southwick Neighbourhood Youth Project, Sunderland All Together Consortium CIO, and North Sunderland Community for their ongoing dedication to the youth of the region. Their commitment and resources have made our youth provision possible, allowing us to continue creating opportunities for young people to access sports and other enriching activities.
Our work together has been a prime example of the power of collaboration. By pooling our resources, expertise, and passion for youth empowerment, we’ve been able to offer more to the community than ever before. The support from #UKSPF has also been crucial in ensuring that these youth clubs continue to thrive, enabling us to make a real difference in the lives of young people across the North East.
Looking Forward to 2025
As we close the chapter on 2024, we are excited about what 2025 will bring. The youth clubs have proven to be an essential part of the community, and we are more motivated than ever to expand on the foundation we’ve built this year. We are already planning for new opportunities, fresh activities, and, most importantly, an even greater impact on the young people we serve.
