Sunday’s Durham League fixture proved to be a challenging one for our Devils. Despite being undermanned due to three missing players, the team battled hard throughout the game.
The first half was a tough one, with the Devils conceding three goals early on. However, a moment of brilliance from Josh, who set up Theo for a well-taken goal, provided a glimmer of hope.
The second half saw a much-improved performance from the Devils. They created numerous chances but were unable to capitalise, with a missed penalty and some unlucky bounces of the ball.
Today’s captain, Freddie, put in an exceptional performance. His impressive saves and crucial interventions kept the scoreline respectable.
While the result wasn’t ideal, the team’s spirit and determination were evident throughout the match. We look forward to seeing them bounce back next weekend.
