Why This Summer Program is Important for Young People Aged 11+ ☀️

Thanks to UKSPF funding we can offer young people ages 11+ a safe space through the summer months, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:30-7:30 pm every evening along with volunteer opportunities and events. . Here for young people

1. A Safe Space During the Long Break:

Summer can be a long stretch, especially for young people who don’t have structured activities or supervision during the day. Our program provides a safe and welcoming environment where they can spend their afternoons and evenings productively and have fun.

2. Combating Summer Learning Loss:

Studies show that students can experience learning loss during the summer break. Our program helps bridge this gap by offering activities that stimulate the mind and encourage creativity.

3. Building Social Connections:

The teenage years are a crucial time for social development. Our program provides opportunities for young people to meet new friends, participate in group activities, and strengthen their social skills.

4. Fun and Enrichment:

Summer should be a time for enjoyment and exploration. Our program offers a variety of activities, games, and events that cater to different interests, helping young people discover new passions and learn new skills.

5. Volunteering Opportunities:

Looking for a way to give back? We offer volunteer opportunities within the program, allowing young people to develop leadership skills, build their resumes, and make a positive impact on their community.

This program is much more than just a place to hang out. It’s a chance for young people to:

  • Develop their social and emotional skills
  • Explore different interests and talents
  • Build self-confidence
  • Make new friends and feel connected to their community

Spread the word! Let any young person you know who might be interested that we’re here for them this summer with fun, friendship, and opportunities to grow!

See you there!
