Attention, parents and guardians! We’re thrilled to announce that our renowned Beach Camps are returning this summer. Offering a unique and engaging experience, these camps are perfect for primary school-aged children from Reception to Year 6.
Imagine the joy on your child’s face as they immerse themselves in a wide variety of fun-filled, educational beach-themed activities. Our Beach Camps are designed to encourage creativity, foster teamwork, and promote physical activity – all in the beautiful outdoor setting of the beach.
Each day at our camp begins with a FREE Breakfast Club. Your child can start their day with a nutritious meal and fun games. It’s not just about the food; it’s also about promoting a sense of community and friendship right from the start of the day.
Following breakfast, the adventure begins! The children will take part in a plethora of beach-themed activities, including rock pooling, sandcastle building, pond fishing, and a local favourite – plodging! For those not familiar with North East lingo, ‘plodging’ is our regional term for wading or paddling in water. But that’s not all; there are also sports and games, arts and crafts, and thrilling treasure hunts to keep your children engaged throughout the day.
Furthermore, we are excited to announce the availability of HAF-funded spaces for eligible families. On these HAF-funded days, a hot, nutritious lunch will be provided to each child, ensuring they’re fueled and ready for an afternoon of more exciting activities.
All of our Beach Camps will be held at The Rotunda, Monkwearmouth Academy, Torver Crescent, Sunderland, SR6 8LG. Drop-off begins at 09:15 and activities run from 09:30 to 14:30. For only £12.00 per child per day, your child can enjoy a full day of fun, learning, and making new friends.
