Is your child always dancing around? Or interested in learning how to dance? Then this post is for you…
My name is Courtney Jade Peel, and I am a third year dance student at Shockout Arts in Manchester. I, myself grew up in Sunderland and I know that opportunities can be limited, especially for young people. However, dance gave me a whole new purpose and taught me so many things, such as how to be confident, motivated, and disciplined, as well as all the super cool steps and moves.
As part of a university project I am looking into how street dance can improve children’s physical fitness and psychological well being.
I will be running 4 FREE classes at North East Sport from 10:00- 12:00 for children aged 8- 11 (school years 3-6) on the Saturdays listed below.
Saturday 28th January 2023
Saturday 4th February 2023
Saturday 11th February 2023
Saturday 18th February 2023
These workshops are for research purposes only and will consist of learning dances, playing games, and activities to encourage physical fitness and good psychological health in children.
