We were once again reactive and responding to people’s needs on a daily basis, as well as food shopping and prescriptions we also delivered chairs and desks to students who needed to learn from home and never had a space to do so. Creating workstations for them. We helped distribute over 80 laptops to students who didn’t have access to IT. Whatever we could do, we would help.
On World Mental Health day we ran a workshop on breadmaking for young people.
What else did we do?
● Delivered daffodils to elderly residents to plant for a colourful spring
● Continued to work with the youth group online, these sessions got better and better with the
young people designing and delivering amazing online fun sessions, think I enjoyed them as
much as they were, but I never ever won.
● Built our links and strengthened our community partnerships, our reputation continued to grow
for delivering and helping people on a regular basis
● We made doorstep visits to the elderly and young people checking in one them along with a small
gift and even a 18th birthday surprise. These were very warmly received.
● Delivered activities to the elderly which included a small plant and puzzle books, people were
absolutely delighted and we received very warm feedback.
● Delivered activity packs for young people including a pizza making kit what a smash these were.
● Delivered tables to a community project in Southwick, supporting other VCS organisations
